Mendoza

The province of Mendoza, whose capital city takes the same name, was founded in 1561. It is located to the east of the Andes. The highest peak in The Americas is part of its chain, the Aconcagua, the Tupungato, the Juncal.

Viticulture and viniculture constitute the main agricultural activity in this province and here the cultivation of wines represent over 60% of the total national production and around 80% of the wine production in Argentina.
